Christ-Centered Approach

At the Chico Rescue Mission, we believe that true transformation starts with a shift in heart and habit. Our 12-month residential program immerses men in a community of accountability and faith. Through a rigorous schedule of up to 15 weekly Bible studies and consistent church attendance, our disciples go beyond basic recovery to build a Christ-centered foundation that lasts long after they graduate.

A Safe Haven for Growth

Recovery thrives in a stable, structured environment. Our residential campus in Chico provides a secure and supportive living space where men can fully step away from the distractions and triggers of addiction. This isn't just a place to sleep; it’s a community-driven home where accountability is standard, and every resident is encouraged to focus entirely on their personal restoration and long-term sobriety.

A Local Church Family: Building a Support Network Beyond the Mission

Beyond our internal studies, we prioritize getting disciples involved in local Chico Bible-teaching churches. This integration allows men to build a wider support network of mentors and peers that will continue to guide them long after they graduate from our 12-month program.

Purpose Through Action: Forging Character and Career Skills in the Trades

Our vocational training tracks in automotive repair, detailing, and landscaping serve as "outdoor classrooms" for life and career skills. By replacing idle time with supervised skill-building, disciples develop the professional mindset and technical foundations required for a successful, stable future.

Restoring the Home: Healing Broken Bonds and Reconciling with Family

We are deeply committed to the work of family reconciliation and facilitate structured visits and spiritual guidance to help men heal bonds with their parents, spouses, and children. We help our disciples navigate the process of restoring trust and preparing for a healthy, long-term return to their families.

"He Restored My Family" — Michael S.

"Before coming to the Mission, I had completely lost the trust of my wife and children. I didn't think those bridges could ever be rebuilt. Through the reconciliation process here, I learned how to be a present father and a man of my word again. Today, my kids look at me with pride instead of fear, and our home is a place of peace."
